We look after animals and nature.
This makes the world healthy.
Animals can feel happy, just like people.
Animals can also feel hurt.
Animals can feel afraid.

We know that animals are important for nature.
They also help people.
We need animals to live.

But many animals are in danger.
More and more animals are disappearing forever.
There are not as many wild animals any more.

Animals in the sea are also in danger.
We need to protect them.
We can stop them disappearing forever.

When we protect animals,
we also protect people.
Animals are part of nature.
Animals are part of our world.
We need them to live.

3 in 4 wild animals

Since 1970, we have lost almost 3 in 4 wild animals. That is a lot of animals in a short time.
More types of animal are dying out

Today, a lot more types of animal are dying out faster than they ever have before.
Most animals in the sea

Most animals in the sea could die out by the year 2100. We need to protect them so this does not happen.
Nociceptors

Humans and other mammals, birds, reptiles and fish can feel pain. They feel pain using something called nociceptors.
