Protecting nature

We want to protect nature

When nature is healthy,
people are healthy.
Futurestories A simple yellow abstract flower shape with five rounded petals on a light grey background.
Futurestories. A person wearing glasses holds large green leaves. The green leaves are surrounded by yellow shapes and flowers. A small purple frog sits on a leaf in front of the person.

We need nature.

But nature needs our help.

We help protect nature.
We help make nature strong.
Clean air is important.
Fresh water is important.
Healthy soil is important.
A healthy climate is important.

We want nature to be strong.
We need to help nature now.
We need to protect nature for the future.
We work with people who know lots about nature.
These people know how to protect nature.
They help us think about the future.

Businesses do better too

If the environment is healthy, businesses do better too.

Sea creatures can help with medicine

Lots of sea creatures can help with medicine.
Some sea creatures have special parts that can help make medicine.

Extreme weather costs money

Extreme weather means storms, floods and heatwaves.
Extreme weather costs money to businesses and governments.

Waste is floating in our seas

We keep adding more waste to the sea.

Our projects

Futurestories. A peaceful lake next to a moor. Grass is growing on a small hill in the water. There are trees in the background and a sky reflects on the surface of the water.
Save our moors

Moors help nature

Many moors are damaged.
This is very bad for the environment.
We want to save these moors.

WWF

WWF protects animals in danger.
WWF protects animals all over the world.
WWF also protects the places where these animals live.
This helps keep nature healthy and safe.
This protects nature for people in the future.
One WWF project is called Ems 2050.

Futurestories. A middle-aged man stands outside. He wears a grey shirt. He holds binoculars. In the background, you see green plants and a healthy moor. The picture shows why moors are important. Moors help protect nature. Moors also store natural CO₂.

„Nowhere does nature store CO₂ as efficiently as in peatlands. Protecting them is not a nice-to-have, but a necessity in the fight against the climate crisis.“
