Children and young people are the embodiment of humanity’s potential for a better future. However, some of them get off to a difficult start in life, have been dealt a bad hand or need extra support to improve their lives. Youth welfare is about charity, appreciation and trust – and about accepting young people as they are, without judgement. This is the only way to achieve successful prevention, support and reintegration.

children and young people in Germany were living in poverty or were at risk of social exclusion in 2025.

children around the world suffer from multidimensional poverty, meaning that their basic needs such as access to education, health services, clean water or sufficient food are not met.

At the inclusive equestrian sports and riding therapy center Berlin-Karlshorst (RBO), you can feel it immediately: the charisma of the horses. The animals help children in particular to open up to their environment and their fellow human beings.
