People with a bold vision will save the earth. And we’re here to help them.
As the Futurestories Foundation, we support projects that are committed to our planet, to nature – and to us human beings.
What we champion: our central issues
Protecting the air, water, soil and climate. Valuing biodiversity, habitats and ecosystems. We believe in preserving our environment and the natural world.
Animals also have a right to live a life free from suffering, pain or fear. That’s why we write Futurestories about biodiversity.
We want to give young people from disadvantaged communities the chance to write their own Futurestories.
For a future worth living, we need bright minds, bold ideas – and more women in research and management. That’s why we empower girls and women and promote innovative approaches in medicine.

Our projects
Vital for the future of our planet
On the banks of the Amazon, deep in the rainforest, indigenous peoples and local communities have lived in close contact with nature for generations.
In the rhythm of the horses
At the inclusive equestrian sports and riding therapy center Berlin-Karlshorst (RBO), you can feel it immediately: the charisma of the horses. The animals help children in particular to open up to their environment and their fellow human beings.
The world’s most effective carbon reservoirs
Around 95 per cent of moorlands in Germany are considered to be severely impaired or destroyed. This is a serious problem, because moors are a habitat for many plant and animal species.
Nature and the economy in harmony
The aim is to preserve the river as a valuable natural habitat, to improve the water quality and to protect endangered plant and animal species.
„With the Futurestories Foundation, we are writing stories for a better future – for humanity, sustainability and progress. We do more than just invest in projects; we also want to inspire others to do good things.“
Futurestories
We need moor! Silent heroes in the fight against the climate crisis.
Moors store more carbon than all the world’s forests combined, protect against flooding and serve as a habitat for many endangered species. They are enormously important ecosystems, so we are working with the Loki Schmidt Foundation to ensure that they are preserved or rewetted. During a project visit to the moorlands around Hamburg, Axel Jahn, Managing Director of the Loki Schmidt Foundation, guides us through these beautiful landscapes.
